How to spend your Dallas layover in bed, thanks to Priority Pass

So I didn’t spend my whole 2-hour layover in bed, but I did get a free hour in one of DFW Airport’s two Minute Suites locations recently, thanks to my Priority Pass membership.

DFW airport has three different Priority Pass lounge options, and I spent my allotted free Minute Suites hour at the location in Terminal A.

What is Priority Pass?

Priority Pass is a membership you can purchase or obtain free with certain credit cards that allows you to access a network of airport lounges throughout the world.

Some lounges are restaurants, some lounges are actual lounges, and some lounges are mini-hotels like Minute Suites.

What is Minute Suites?

Minute Suites is a series of in-airport mini hotels with locations at the airports in Atlanta, Philadelphia and Dallas.

The location I stayed at opened in January 2017 and had ten suites that look like this:

As you can see, it’s a small suite with a sofa, desk and television, but no personal bathroom.

I’m a slight germaphobe, but the blanket and disposable pillowcase setup felt good to me.

Are the blankets washed between guests?

Yes! Well, Minute Suites says they are in a comment at the bottom of this review. I trust them.

I’m not an easy napper, so I wasn’t able to fall asleep.

But I was extremely grateful I could stretch out & relax in a dark, quiet suite and watch my beloved Gators in HD:

I was in a suite right by the front desk, and there was almost no noise bleed from the terminal.

“Thirsty?” Not too much of a price gouge here at $2.50 a bottle, though for a $42/hour suite you’d think one might be free:

They do have free cups of water at the front desk.

Another plus is if you’re currently breastfeeding it sounds like Minutes Suites will give you a suite for free for 30 minutes:

I appreciated the different lighting options, and the temperature control:

Though I didn’t sleep, I left feeling refreshed and ready to finish my American Airlines trek from SF to Pittsburgh.

If you’ve stayed at or are planning to stay at a Minute Suites, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for visiting!
