Uber is matching all July 18 in-app tips

If you’re feeling generous, tomorrow is a great time to rain down in-app tips upon your Uber driver.

Uber is matching dollar for dollar all in-app tips given on July 18, according to an Uber email to drivers today.

Surprisingly, there’s no visible fine print concerning a maximum that Uber will pay out.

This comes a few days after Lyft announced drivers will earn more money on the often profitless Line rides, which came in response to Uber’s recent addition of in-app tipping after years of stubbornness.

The Uber/Lyft battle rages on.
