Virgin America just nonchalantly tweeted a notice of its impending end

You wouldn’t think anything of it, if you didn’t click through and read the statement.

Virgin America tweeted this today:

But buried deep in the post from Alaska Airlines, they announce that the Virgin America name and brand will be gone in a few years, one of the final steps in the long process of Alaska Air’s acquisition of Virgin America.

It takes six paragraphs of the post before they finally spit it out:

Virgin America has tons of fanatics who will be majorly bummed to see it disappear, but at least you can still look to Virgin Australia and UK’s Virgin Atlantic for that chic red and white logo.
