According to several testimonies on Reddit.com/r/churning, Chase is now offering a sign-up bonus of 70K points after $4K spend on the Sapphire Preferred credit card, for targeted Chase Bank in-store applicants only.
Several people on the Reddit thread mentioned trying to get their own recent Sapphire Preferred bonuses matched to the new offer, with no success unless they applied in-branch.
Here’s one example from user Obtainz:
This is just one of several of the best credit card offers of the year that have come from Chase, the most popular being the 100K bonus on the Sapphire Reserve.
The Sapphire Preferred is the much cheaper ($95/year instead of $450/year) version of the Chase’s popular Sapphire credit cards.
Travel sites used to be obsessed with the Sapphire Preferred. Now most of the attention goes to the Sapphire Reserve.
A few months ago I received a mail targeted 75K-point offer on the Sapphire Preferred, but it required a ridiculous $25K in spend in the first year.
If you’ve been eyeing a Sapphire, this may be the perfect time.
