Frontier Airlines was named by the DOT today as one of the first six U.S. airlines to be awarded eligibility to fly to Cuba.
The other U.S. airlines that can join Frontier in bringing people between Cuba and Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Minneapolis/St. Paul are: American Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Silver Airways, Southwest Airlines, and Sun Country Airlines.
Considering Frontier only has Punta Cana and Cancun on its current international route list, this is exciting news for Frontier fans like myself. I’m crossing my fingers I’ll eventually be able to use my 60k collected Frontier miles for two roundtrip flights to Cuba.
On the same day it received a gift, Frontier offered to give a gift, announcing a drawing for a $1,000 Frontier voucher in honor of Father’s Day:
The entry form only asks for your email, zip code, and a story about your favorite travel experience with your Father (as sweet of an exercise as it is, it doesn’t appear to be required). Contest ends June 17.
I like flying Frontier, but many people don’t. Here’s my post on why it’s so misunderstood.
I’d love to hear your thoughts, and please let me know if you win!
