If you’ve been looking for a ukulele for your travels, this could be the time…
I guess this post isn’t strictly travel-related, but Guitar Center is offering a $10 bonus with purchase of $50 e-gift cards right now until June 18. I’d be psyched to get this if I were a dad.
You can purchase up to $2,000 in gift cards, so you could potentially get $400 free if you purchased 40 50-dollar gift cards. As a note, the promo portion of the gift cards expire July 6, so this would only be worthwhile if you have a big purchase planned.

If you’re not familiar with Guitar Center, it’s the largest music supply and instrument retailer in America, with stores across the country and a huge website. I buy almost all my music supplies here.
Some hate it because it’s the big box store that put a lot of mom & pop music shops out of business, but I’ve almost always had good experiences with this company.
While their prices are always pretty fair, there are a few things you can do to make sure you get the best deal.
How to get great deals at Guitar Center:
- Price Match: They price match the checkout price of any retailer. They also guarantee the lowest price for 45 days after purchase, so if you buy a drumset then see it $50 cheaper at Guitar Center or online the next week, they’ll refund you the difference.
- Ask: Similar to a car dealership, Guitar Center salespeople and managers have leeway when it comes to price. Ask for the price you want to pay, and see what they can offer you. I’ve done this successfully several times.
- Mailing list: GC sends pretty frequent coupons and reward bucks, so signing up for their email or post mailing list is essential if you have a big purchase in mind.
